What's up everyone?
This is Sergeant Mike Hames, US Marine Corps, reporting from Shanghai, China.
I had the unique experience of coolin' with Coolio this past week. On July 26th, I ran into Coolio at the gym of the hotel where I live in Shanghai. I approached him and let him know that I was a Marine and also a Hip-Hop DJ.
He asked what I was doing that night and then we met up at one of the hottest clubs
in Shanghai, DKD. He came up to me in the club and said,
"Yo, I wanna get on the mic!"
I brought him up to the DJ booth and introduced him. Everyone went wild!
He was freestylin' over some Naughty by Nature and Eminem instrumentals then he
passed the mic to me.
I started rappin his lyrics and we were both just jammin'! He was pretty impressed
that a white guy knew his lyrics as well as I did! After that, we were just kickin' it!
The next night we met up again and went out to another club to meet some girls!
It was a good time!
I went out with him again last night because he was leaving today to go back to the states!
He is over here making a movie for a few months. It was a unique experience getting to chill
with someone that is famous. It was actually no big deal after you get to know him! He is pretty cool,
hence the name!
I just wanted to let yall know that Coolio really appreciates his fans.
He said it is what keeps him going! I am outta here for now! Feel free to contact me if you

Well the concert started at 7:30pm on August 29th at the PNE. In Vancouver British Columbia. While Coolio was rappng he picked some people who wanted to rap. Well I was one of the chosen one's. There was five of us up there all together. One by one he asked us to rap. He asked the crowd to judge the winner. He totally humiliated the people that couldn't rap. Coolio and some of his friends that were rapping with him made the people that sucked at rapping, sit on the ground while him and his friends dropped water all over them and encouraged the crowd to boo them. It was halarious. Im just glad that it wasn't me. Anyways as you know I was tied for first place. The crowd went hesterical. I loved it. I also got some phone numbers of some girls that night. I've been to the 'Coolio & the 40 Thevs' concert here in Rome 2 weeks ago and I had the chence of meeting them and spend a very nice night with them all. So please, do me a favor : if you go (I'm sure of it ! ) to the concert in Sweden and you can meet them could you give'em a message...
I hope you'll be able to bring him my message because this mean that you'll have the chance too to meet some very special people. Good Concert and keep it up with your page, is very, very well done.

I work at a radiostation and really wanted a jingel ( station id ). I wasn't that tuff when I approached him, because he looked pretty cool behind his sunglasses.
He also was in a hurry, but the answer was "yes" anyway. He rapped a Jingle for me that was really great.

Another good thing is when Coolio was singing people were looking at him, they didn't know the Utimate K was standing right at the side! Any way me and my pal waved at him and they waved back!!! The coolio concert was the best!!
The scenery was the best!! There was a house half a car, with the number plate saying COOLIO, on this the boot opened and Coolio jumped out! There was this box where Coolio at some point was chained up it!
Well in the Coolio concert Coolio goes at the very begining, Y'all i'm not coming out untill y'all standing up! So we all stood up! Then he told as all to sway your arms and jump! I was excellent!
The funniest thing was when coolio said welcome to the first ever Croydon annual coolio rap contest! He got people who said they could rap onto stage, the people who couldn't rap had the audiance sing a tune " She's got to go, She's got to go oh oh" Then she had water purn all over her head! The second person who couldn't do it had the same but the said be babtized in red?????? so they poured a can of coke ( see red can) over her head! it went all foamy! It was so funny! erm....
The was another bit when Coolio said, When i say yeah u say yeah, say yeah!" Yeah"

erm...
Our seat was about 8 metres away from him!
But we ran up the front!
we was now about 1 METRE!!
He was chucking out leflets/stickers so me and my mate went and picked em all up! Coolio was just shouting things out like Croydon- I can't hear U! And y'all like Hip hop! etc....
The bass was soooooo strong my trousers were moving!! I have to say it was the best CONCERT I HAVE EVER BEEN TO!!!! Coolio is an entertainer! Beckie WbS

cool becasue Lek Ratt kept blowing me kisses and about every ten minutes he
held his out and we kept shaking hands and then the security guys were
pulling people up onto the stage and i went up and chatted to them and danced,
and got kisssed on the cheek by the 40 thevz and coolio but the best bit is, i
sent a message to BBC Worldservice and they picked me to say it live on radio
and i said i saw him at the concert and he rememberd who i was and receited
every word i said to him on stage!

I went to the Coolio concert in Glasgow and i have to honestly say that was the BEST CONCERT I HAVE EVER BEEN TO. Coolio is an entertainer he came on and sang his heart out the man is the BEST.
